The air management system or environmental control system (ECS) is helpful in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for passengers in aircraft cabin. April 2018: American Airlines has ordered 47 new Boeing jets worth USD 12.3 billion to replace some of its oldest planes. In its Dreamliner order, both 787-8 and 787-9 variants of the twin-aisle jet are taken for which UTC Aerospace Systems is providing air conditioning equipment. These aircraft are expected to join America Airline’s fleet by 2020.
