Nematodes, particularly plant-parasitic nematodes, are microscopic worms that cause crop damage by feeding on plant roots, leading to decreased crop yields, poor plant growth, and, in severe cases, total crop loss. As a result, the demand for effective nematicide products has been steadily increasing.

Along with this, the increase in the yield loss due to the increase in nematode incidence is also observed in the country. For instance, according to the report released by the Mississippi Soybean Promotion Board in 2022, the yield loss caused by the soybean cyst nematode was almost USD 1.5 billion annually. Such huge losses caused by the nematode population are shifting the farmer's eye towards the usage of nematicides in the fields to reduce the losses thereby supporting the growth of the market during the forecast period.
