Concentrated solar power (CSP) is a technology which utilizes mirrors or other reflective devices to concentrate solar power on a point to produce heat, this heat is then used to produce steam which runs turbines, thus generating electricity. CSP technology is comparatively economical than photo voltaic solar as it doesn’t need any rare earth materials for manufacturing. Also CSP is advantages over PV cells as it is possible to generate power, even in the absence of the sun. This is done by thermal storage systems which can store heat, this heat can be used to produce electricity during cloudy conditions or night times.
