A 2025 study confirmed that nano-TiO₂-reinforced polyurethane shells stabilized photochromic cores up to 180 °C while retaining high optical transmittance. This threshold was relevant to polypropylene and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), injection molders.
