Their continuous-fill geometry enables the formation of large containment berms using hydraulically placed dredged slurry, making them suitable for long coastal revetments where locally sourced fill is available. Solmax used GEOTUBE units in the Marmara Sea restoration project to dewater and contain mixed-contaminant sludge, illustrating the product's use in technically demanding environmental work. The geotextile bags and containers market also uses tubes in coastal protection, channel restoration, and industrial dewatering.
