  • March 2023 - STMicroelectronics launched its first AI-enhanced smart accelerometers, a pair of MEMS-based sensors packing finite state machine (FMC) and machine learning core (MLC) hardware for on-device tinyML workloads. Based on STMicro's third-generation MEMS sensor platform, the new LIS2DUX12 and LIS2DUXS12 accelerometers aim to offload machine learning and artificial intelligence tasks from a host processor directly on-sensor.
  • February 2023 - Infineon launched its new tiny MEMS microphone touting high SNR, the 520 APower, as a part of its XENSIV MEMS microphone product family.
  • January 2023 - Knowles Corporation launched its latest series of SiSonicMEMS microphones: Titan (digital), Falcon (differential analog), and Robin (single-ended analog). The new trio of microphones provides advanced performance capabilities for space-constrained ear and wearable applications like True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, smart watches, augmented reality (AR) glasses, and virtual reality (VR) headsets.

  • October 2023 - Nvidia teamed with Segway-Ninebot to launch a robotics development platform to accelerate the development and deployment of Autonomous Mobile Robots. The Nova Carter AMR gets its mobility from Segway's RMP Lite 220 chassis and is powered by Nvidia's chips, algorithms, and sensors, with Segway handling its integration. It also has 360° perception due to cameras and lidar, high-performance computing modules, sensors, autonomous driving development software, and tools.
  • August 2023 - ATI Industrial Automation announced that its Multi-Axis Force/Torque Sensors are compatible with FANUC's robots and Force Control Software. This collaboration opens up unique possibilities for advanced automation and precision control in robotic applications. As per the ATI, the integration of its Multi-Axis Force/Torque Sensors with FANUC's hardware and software is expected to allow users to achieve greater levels of accuracy, flexibility, and responsiveness. Integrators and manufacturers can take advantage of the enhanced sensing capabilities.
  • April 2023: TGW Logistics Group announced to offer of new and existing customer innovative visualization dashboards for optimizing the performance of the intralogistics system. With the help of this dashboard, data from many different software sources can be combined, analyzed, and processed graphically, from goods-in monitoring to the warehouse area to the sorters and scanners.
  • March 2023: KNAPP AG developed innovative robotics for automation and digitalization at the LogiMAT 2023 trade fair. Its robot solutions are expected to help lower costs in logistics processes while increasing shipping capacity. The company calls this new, future-proof approach zero-touch fulfillment.
  • January 2023: Panasonic Holdings Corporation announced the development of the world's highest sensitivity in hyperspectral imaging technology by applying a compressed sensing technology. This technology makes it possible to identify slight color differences- small differences that are hard to discern with the naked, maintaining the usability of a conventional color camera and enabling improvement of image analysis and recognition accuracy. This technology is expected to be significant in medical care and space exploration.
  • August 2022: Specim strengthened its presence in central Europe by opening a branch office in Germany. The new office included a demo center that facilitated its customers and partners to get hands-on training on the Specim products and services. The new office and demo center are located at Konica Minolta Sensing Europe facilities in Munich, Germany.
  • February 2023 - ENGIE Impact announced its partnership with Mölnlycke to move from strategy to implementation. ENGIE is expanding its low-carbon energy expertise from Mölnlycke's operations in Malaysia, which is the company's global operations. Mölnlycke and ENGIE have entered a 15-year, low-carbon energy and services partnership to support Mölnlycke's ambitious new mid- and long-term greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets.
  • December 2022 - Chevron New Energies (CNE), a division of Chevron U.S.A. Inc., and Svante announced that Chevron is the lead investor in Svante’s Series E fundraising round, which raised USD 318 million that would be used to accelerate the manufacturing of Svante’s carbon capture technology. These companies are advancing a full value chain carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) business and believe Svante is poised to be a leader in enabling carbon capture solutions.
  • June 2023: Saned Facility Management & Solution Company and Greenhouse, the Chalhoub Group's center for innovation and entrepreneurship, have joined forces to develop the "Innovation in Integrated Facilities Management" Center and Program. The center aims to improve industry innovation and efficiency by encouraging and expanding software, technology, artificial intelligence, and new ideas internally and throughout the UAE's facilities management industry.

  • June 2022: Imdaad, a group of companies based in Dubai that offers integrated, sustainable facilities management services that improve operational efficiencies of physical assets, has officially formed a new joint venture with LMD, a prominent real estate provider in Egypt, to provide a full range of quality facility management solutions across the entirety of Egypt.
  • March 2023: Khidmah, a prominent integrated facilities management and maintenance company in the Middle East, accomplished a significant milestone by recording 9 million safe working hours over the past 12 months, including 3.5 million safe working hours during the summer.
  • September 2022: The National Water Company (NWC) signed the contract for the management, operation, and maintenance of water services for the Western Cluster, which included the major cities of Jeddah, Makkah, and Taif in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the Alliance organized by SUEZ and Al-Awael Modern Contracting Group (AWAEL) with its Affiliated Civil Works Company (CWC). The 7-year contract has 98 million euros in total revenues. In addition to customer and support services, the agreement includes management of all water and wastewater infrastructure in the Jeddah, Makkah, and Taif regions.
  • December 2022: Maxar Technologies announced that Intelsat's Galaxy 35 and Galaxy 36 satellites performed as expected following launch aboard an Ariane 5 rocket from Arianespace's launch facility in French Guiana. These two geostationary (GEO) satellites would allow Intelsat, the operator of the world's largest integrated satellite and terrestrial network and the leading provider of in-flight connectivity, to seamlessly transfer its services as part of the FCC's plan to reallocate portions of the C-band spectrum for 5G terrestrial wireless services.
  • December 2022: Accenture and Planet Labs collaborated on AI-powered geospatial intelligence tools for sustainability, traceable supply chain, and climate risk solutions. Accenture entered into a collaboration agreement with Planet Labs through its Accenture Ventures Project Spotlight initiative to help power decision-making at organizations across a wide range of industries, including forestry, consumer packaged goods, agriculture, energy, and government. Accenture Ventures' Project Spotlight, an engagement and early investment program that connects emerging technology startups with the Global 2000 to fill strategic innovation gaps, is aligned with the collaboration with Planet.
  • June 2023: StorageMart, which operates more than 280 self-storage facilities in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States, acquired I-29/I-35 Self Storage at 4121 N.E. Davidson Road in Kansas City, Missouri, and Summit Self Storage in Missouri. A portfolio of 112,296 rentable square feet in 796 apartment buildings comprises two properties.
  • June 2023: SmartStop Self Storage REIT, Inc., a self-managed and fully integrated self-storage company, announced that its affiliates, Strategic Storage Trust VI, Inc. and Strategic Growth Trust III, Inc., have acquired an eight-facility portfolio in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) totaling approximately 7,400 units and 758,000 rentable square feet. With the acquisition of these eight facilities, SmartStop's holding or management of 33 operating self-storage properties in Canada with an overall size of about 3.0 million sq. ft.
  • May 2023: According to Cushman & Wakefield & the Self Storage Association UK (SSA UK), annual turnover in the UK self-storage industry is set to exceed GBP 1 billion in 2023 as the cost-of-living crisis fails to dampen customers' appetite for the easy-access rented space.
  • April 2023: The City of Port Aransas in Texas chose Stantec to oversee a restoration plan for the 13.5 acres of ecosystems contained inside the Nature Preserve at Charlie's Pasture. Due to damaged shorelines brought on by Hurricane Harvey's damage in 2017, the area has been underwater. The Stantec team is expected to lead the project's planning and management to boost visitor use, wildlife ecosystems, and resilience mechanisms for potential storm surges. In addition to planning, the team will identify sediment, analyze the state of the nearby marsh, and immediately mobilize employees.
  • March 2023: HKS announced the establishment of HKS "xBE," a new partner diversity initiative that allows "xBE" firms and their members to create partnerships, explore new work, and boost creativity in the architectural and design professions.
