  • May 2022: Amcor Rigid Packaging (ARP) announced the creation and launch of PowerPostTM. PowerPost technology produces nearly one-third lighter bottles with 30% less energy and 30% less carbon than most 20 oz. bottles by actively dislodging the vacuum in the container after filling.
  • January 2022: Amcor PLC launched AmFiberTM, a new platform for paper-based packaging products.   • January 2022: TIPA Corp., an Israeli-based company, nabbed a USD 70 million investment for developing compostable packaging solutions. In February 2023, Kruger Packaging, a Canadian corrugated packaging firm, revealed plans to upgrade its Place Turcot containerboard mill in Montréal, Canada. It planned to install advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence technology at the mill and upgrade its existing manufacturing equipment. The cost of the project was estimated at CAD 30 million (USD 22.4 million).

In February 2022, Georgia-Pacific LLC invested significantly in its corrugated plant in Owosso, Michigan. Newer equipment will enhance the plant's throughput and printability to meet customer needs better. The advancements include a new corrugator, converter, single facer, preheater, glue machine, and control systems and an upgrade to the current single facer and unitizer. Owosso can extend its customer base by allowing the double wall capability and providing expanded products to existing customers.
