The Marge Carson furniture line is famous not just in the United States but also around the world for its high quality, proportional forms, and textiles in the industry.
• January 2022: The Furniture Practice (TFP) acquired Bermondsey-based furniture consultants Operandum. The acquisition of the Operandum was considered an extremely good fit for TFP as it continues to expand its national and international reach.

• May 2023: Oppein Home introduced its newest assortment of kitchen cabinet designs. Renowned for its innovative solutions, Oppein Home consistently pushes the boundaries of kitchen aesthetics and organization.
• January 2023: IKEA invested in new and existing ways to shop and meet people, including new Plan & Order Points, a new distribution center, development of the existing store, and new delivery capabilities. This made it easier and more sustainable to shop at IKEA than ever before.

• In October 2023, The Saatva RX mattress was released as a luxury bed designed for sleepers with chronic back and joint issues such as sciatica and arthritis.
• In June 2023, KKR & Co handed over ownership of a distressed Swedish mattress maker to creditors as part of the company’s second debt restructuring in less than a year. A group of Hilding Anders International AB’s creditors is set to swap part of their debt for equity and provide the company with USD 21.9 million to boost its cash coffers.

• In March 2023: JIECANG launched a series of new lifting system products under the theme of "BE AGILE. BE READY". The products cover solutions such as electric standing desk solutions, movable flip standing desk solutions, telephone booth lifting systems, and television lifting systems.
• In March 2023: office furniture brand Hermer Miller introduced the Passport Work Table, a compact and mobile height-adjustable desk to suit home and hybrid work environments. The Passport Work Table is a laptop desk with a pneumatic lifting mechanism, allowing the user to raise or lower the work surface using an under-desk lever without needing to be plugged into power.

• November 2023: "Emma," the world's largest direct-to-consumer (D2C) sleep brand, opened its inaugural store in Germany. Situated on Mittelstraße, one of Cologne's renowned shopping streets, this move marks a significant leap for the company as it expands beyond the global D2C sleep industry into the realm of retail.
• May 2023: Tempur Sealy International, Inc. finalized an agreement to acquire Mattress Firm, the largest mattress specialty retailer in the United States. The transaction, valued at approximately USD 4.0 billion in cash and stock, reflects Tempur Sealy's strategic move to further solidify its position in the market.

• November 2023: Ikea boosted its sustainable services offering with the launch of a new mattress removal and recycling scheme. Customers can book a collection, either online or in-store.
• December 2022: Birch, which exists as Helix Sleep's natural and sustainable sleep brand, expanded its Birch product line with the launch of Birch Kids natural mattress, an organic, non-toxic mattress with 100 percent organic wool layers for growing children. The product is designed to support children from ages 3 to 12, combining high-quality, hypoallergenic materials in a two-sided hybrid design.
• November 2022: Mattress recycling firm the Furniture Recycling Group partnered with Netherlands-based mattress recycling company RetourMatras. The partnership was to enable the TFR group to expand its dismantling capacity to 1.5 million mattresses per year with the transformation of discarded mattresses into reusable materials.

• April 2023: Sleep Number launched its next-gen Sleep Number smart beds and Lifestyle Furniture. It is sold separately but optimally used together; the innovations are intended to help sleepers get their best sleep and realize their full potential through every stage of life.
• March 2023: Mattress company Serta Simmons is implementing a new suite of SaaS solutions aimed at optimizing manufacturing efficiency and supporting the company through their next stage of growth.

• January 2022: Indonesia approved a USD 6 billion merger of telco units of Qatar's Ooredoo and Hong Kong's CK Hutchison.
• October 2022: Indonesian furniture retailer Febelio declared bankruptcy due to the financial difficulties brought about by the pandemic and its failure to raise new funding.
