• January 2023 - A team of researchers from UBC Okanagan is investigating new methods to monitor underground gas pipelines with the help of high-tech sensors that can make finding weaknesses, discrepancies, and even a diversion in residential natural gas lines easier. The researchers have tested a technology that allows for the inspection of HDPE pipes with the help of ultrasonic sensors, which transmit ultrasound signals through the pipe.
• August 2022: Students from Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, Mysuru, developed an ultrasonic blind walking stick that utilizes Arduino and could perform more than just a stick for visually impaired persons. This smart stick featured an ultrasonic sensor to sense distance from any obstacle, and it could sense lighting conditions and had a remote, utilizing which the blind man could remotely locate his smart stick.

• November 2023: Basler AG and MVTec Software GmbH partnered with Siemens to bring machine vision solutions directly to customers’ machines and systems. The new partnerships between Basler AG and Siemens enable customers to integrate machine vision apps directly into their automation technology. Siemens’ experience with industrial automation and digitization, combined with MVTec’s expertise in machine vision, reduces the complexity for customers. It significantly reduces the barrier to entry for machine vision solutions.
• October 2023: Keyence Corporation has announced the launch of its new line of smart camera vision systems, the VS series. This series features sophisticated lens control technology that optimizes the management of 19 lenses in an IP67 camera. This innovation eliminates the manual selection of lenses or the need for physical adjustments, allowing one camera model to adapt to a variety of imaging needs with the press of a button.

• July 2022 - Oracle Fusion Sales, a sales automation tool that locates high-quality sales opportunities and helps sellers close deals more quickly, has just received an update, according to Oracle. Fusion Sales is an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven component of Oracle Fusion Cloud Customer Experience (CX) that automatically offers sellers prices, recommendations, and suggested next steps in order to help them close more deals, work more productively, and inspire trust in their customers.
• May 2022 - To work together on business process automation, Digital Workforce formed a relationship with the Swiss enterprise Flowable. In a recently released updated plan, Digital Workforce stated its ambition to create the Outsmart platform for fully automated business processes. For the creation and management of intricate, end-to-end business processes, Outsmart will provide all the necessary skills. To enable process orchestration, automated task processing, and the coordination of work done by humans and work done by software robots or AI, Outsmart will use industry-leading, best-of-breed technologies, such as Flowable.

• March 2023: Chart Industries and Nikola Corporation, a global leader in zero-emission transportation, energy supply, and infrastructure solutions through their HYLA brand, announced a strategic partnership. This collaboration encompasses the production of liquid hydrogen storage tanks, transport trailers, and the development of mobile and modular hydrogen refueling stations for rapid deployment. Additionally, the agreement entails further cooperation in advancing hydrogen technology for infrastructure and onboard fuel systems in trucks. These investments are set to enhance the company's capacity to generate power from fuel using cryocooler products.
• October 2022: Air Liquide entered into a contractual agreement with Avio, a prominent player in space propulsion, to design a cutting-edge cryogenic tank for the upper stage of the upcoming Vega-E launcher. This new generation of tanks has been engineered to accommodate oxygen-methane propellants, aligning with the requirements of next-generation launch vehicles. The cryogenic tank is specifically designed to store oxygen at -182°C and methane at -161°C. The Vega-E launchers are scheduled for deployment in 2026 and will be tasked with launching medium-class satellites into low-Earth orbit (LEO) from the Kourou base in French Guiana.

• March 2023: WEG announced the launch of the first version of the WMR (WEG Mobile Robot), which aims to enhance the operational efficiency of activities carried out in industries that require internal transport.
• March 2023: PeakLogix announced its partnership with Peer Robotics to bring innovative robots to the material handling industry. Their collaborative autonomous mobile robot (AMR) is revolutionizing robotics and material movement with its ability to learn from humans in real-time. It facilitates the robot's easy deployment across warehousing and manufacturing environments with no changes to existing infrastructure, even by facility staff who lack experience with robots.

• May 2023: The Spool Valve Solutions team in China introduced the CVG8 (Compact Valve Group 8), a cutting-edge compact proportional electromagnet direct drive valve, at the HYA plant. This innovative valve, known for its rapid response and remarkable accuracy, seamlessly inherits the modular design and compact structure characteristics of the renowned Danfoss section valve family. Moreover, the CVG8 boasts a customized modular design that endows it with an extensive array of functional options.
• March 2023: Shipham Valves unveiled their latest line of triple-offset butterfly valves. • November 2022: Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas, Inc., a global leader in medical diagnostic imaging and healthcare information technology, introduced groundbreaking digital radiography (DR) technologies designed to revolutionize the clinical utility of X-rays.
• August 2022: GE Healthcare unveiled its latest fixed X-ray equipment, which functions as a dedicated "personal assistant" for radiology departments. The next-generation Definium 656 HD, equipped with in-room workflows, motorization, and the Intelligent Workflow Suite, offers invaluable support to technologists by assisting with patient positioning and method selection. This not only reduces the physical demands on technologists but also enhances overall productivity, making the most of a technologist's time spent with patients. Radiologists can benefit from this innovative system as well, as it combines FlashPad detectors, sophisticated picture generation apps, and the latest AI-driven helix advanced image processing software to improve image clarity, reduce errors, and minimize variability.

• September 2023 - Melexis announced the launch of MLX91230, which is the first product of its third generation of current sensors that brings 0.5 percent accuracy at an affordable price in a compact design. It integrates IVT measurement capability, embeds a microcontroller (MCU) to offload processing from the ECU, benefits from pre-installed safety features, and is considered perfect for EV battery management and power distribution systems.
• March 2023 - ROHM introduced the space-saving, high-accuracy current sense amplifier ICs (BD1421x-LA series) for industrial applications - including wireless base stations, PLCs, and inverters - as well as consumer applications such as home appliances. The BD14210G-LA incorporates all required peripheral components. That simplifies current sensing by connecting a shunt resistor and a bypass capacitor. This reduces the number of components from eleven to just three compared to conventional configurations (operational amplifier + discrete components).

• May 2022: Alfa Laval deployed its unique technology to recover industrial waste heat from a sulphuric acid plant for reuse in a district heating network in Hamburg, Germany. More than 23,000 households, hotels, offices, and the university will benefit from more heating as the company expands the waste heat recovery project, which Alfa Laval first installed in 2018. The project contributes to the city’s green footprint as a part of a German government initiative.
• March 2022: A prominent American energy services company, Ameresco, announced that it would partner with Vattenfall, attracting investment worth around EUR 1.2 billion (USD 1.28 billion) for the Bristol City Leap project, a 20-year concession to decarbonize the city. Over the first five years of the partnership, The project will deliver around GBP 424 million (USD 521.49 million) in low-carbon energy infrastructure across heat networks, renewable energy, heat pumps, energy efficiency, and electric vehicle charging. The project will account for around 140,000 tonnes of carbon savings and 182 MW of zero-carbon energy generation.

• April 2022: 3D PLUS expanded its space camera head family by including a high-density, high-performance 1.31 Mpixels SWIR Camera Head for space applications. The 3DCM830 SWIR Space Camera Head embeds a SWIR InGaAs image sensor with associated memories and a high-performance FPGA-based electronic architecture, allowing for efficient sensor operation and the integration of image processing and formatting close to the image sensor.
• January 2022: LUCID Vision Labs, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of one-of-a-kind and innovative industrial vision cameras, introduced the new Atlas SWIR IP67-rated 1.3 MP and 0.3 MP cameras. The Atlas SWIR is a GigE PoE+ camera with Sony SenSWIR 1.3 MP IMX990 and 0.3 MP IMX991 InGaAs sensors capable of capturing images across both visible and invisible light spectrums and a miniaturized pixel size of 5m.
