  • January 2021 - Hisense launched a new product line of laser TV, TriChroma Laser TV, using its cutting-edge display technology. The laser TV will control and package separate lasers to get purer colors for display. TriChroma will have 20% brightness enhancement at the pixel level with a 430-nit picture brightness. The new TV product line will be offered in various screen sizes, including 75-inch to 100-inch giant screens. The company also aims to provide its customers with customized solutions, home fitness screens, and various professional options for different industries.
  • August 2021 - Xiaomi launched Mi TV 5X series as a part of the Mi TV lineup in India. The MiTV 5X comes in multiple sizes, including 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch with 4K resolution displays. It will also have various features, including HDR 10, Dolby Vision, adaptive brightness, Patchwall interface, and Google Assistant integration. The company is aiming to strengthen its presence in the region through such strategies.

  • November 2023 - Samsung updated the Camera Assistant module in the Good Lock app, which adds new features for the camera on models that run on One UI 5.1 or higher to receive the version 2.0.00.0 update of Camera Assistant. The new feature, Upscale digital zoom, will take a photo with a resolution that decreases because of zoom and upscale it to the key the user previously selected. Another new feature, Distortion Correction, will automatically fix bowing or bending lines caused by the lens and perspective distortion. Users can use the module to modify or disable some settings that can't be changed using the regular camera app.
  • June 2023 - LG Innotek Co Ltd has announced it would invest USD 995 Million in its Hai Phong production subsidiary in Vietnam to expand its camera module production line. The purpose is to expand the production capacity of camera modules such as Apple's iPhone. The new plant in Vietnam aims to be completed in the second half of 2024 and start mass production in 2025.
  • July 2023 - India signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Japan to boost semiconductor ecosystem development. The MoC signed between Japan and India would cover semiconductor development, manufacturing, research, design, and talent development. 
  • February 2023: Pangyo Techno Valley, an advanced specialist in Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) and analog semiconductors, announced that it designed an ultra-small silicon capacitor for high frequency and provided samples for evaluation to its customers.
  • February 2023 - TTM Technologies announces exhibit at the 2023 International Electronics Circuit Exhibition (Shenzhen), at Booth in the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Bao'an), in China, Where TTM will be hosting a series of technical seminars to present its cutting edge engineering and product solutions aimed at dealing with customer problems across different end markets and applications.
  • November 2023 - AT&S announced that it is providing IC substrates for global semiconductor company AMD. Substrates by AT&S are an integral part of high-performance, energy-efficient AMD data center processors that power the digital experiences of the future, from AI to VR.
  • June 2023 - Siemens AG announced an investment of EUR 2 billion (USD 2.11 billion) for new manufacturing capacity and innovation labs, education centers, and other sites. Siemens also announced the construction of a new high-tech factory in Singapore to meet the growing demand from Southeast Asia markets. The company is further expected to announce additional investments in the US and Europe.
  • May 2023 - R. Stahl AG expanded its product portfolio for socket panels. The socket panels in the 8150/5-V88 series have been developed for applications whereby particle contamination must be avoided. These can be installed in hazardous areas in Zones 1 and 2 in accordance with EN 60079-10-1 and Zones 21 and 22 in accordance with EN 60079-10-2.
  • August 2023: Bosch revealed plans to establish a state-of-the-art semiconductor test center for chips and sensors in Malaysia. The facility boasts an expansive area of over 18,000 square meters, housing clean rooms, office spaces, and dedicated R&D laboratories designed to accommodate up to 400 associates.
  • July 2023: Analog Devices Inc. announced its intention to enhance its cleanroom capabilities to optimize the manufacturing process. As part of their latest investment, the company will also introduce a semiconductor maintenance training program. This substantial investment of USD 1 billion is poised to foster the growth and efficiency of their semiconductor facility in Beaverton. Notably, the expansion will result in an additional 25,000 square feet, boosting the cleanroom capacity to an impressive 118,000 square feet.
  • July 2023: Labconco Corporation introduced the Nexus Horizontal Clean Bench. This groundbreaking laminar flow hood is the industry's first of its kind to incorporate complete onboard intelligence.   • May 2022: At ISE, Samsung unveiled its 2022 model of The Wall (IWB), an innovative modular Micro LED display that provided immersive viewing experiences in a high-resolution, large-screen format.
  • January 2023 - Laser Photonics Corporation announced its next-generation CleanTech laser procedures, upgraded to fulfill the challenges of MRO (repair, maintenance, and operations/overhaul). There are more than 50 well products in the LPC CleanTech product line which would add new features and capabilities for laser cleaning. The ability of multiaxis laser scan heads and precise automation controls has also been improved in the LPC product range, with a view to dealing with different operating challenges.
  • May 2022 - Flexo Wash announced the FW 850 Laser Anilox Cleaner, developed for narrow web printers with wastewater challenges. The FW 850 series devices can clean up to two thin web rolls in a single cleaning cycle. The FW 850 Laser Anilox Cleaner requires no water supply, drain, or safety equipment to install. With a maximum diameter of 180 mm (7 in), a maximum cleaning length of 700 mm (27.6in), and a maximum weight per anilox of 50 kg, it offers cleaning cycles for one or two anilox every wash (110 lbs.)
  • June 2023 - TTArtisan has announced the Light Meter II, a second-generation attempt at its shoe-mount meter that improves on the original released in 2021. The original TTArtisan Light Meter could work on any film camera system, but the company marketed it for use with Leica cameras. The design is simple, and the light meter is mounted to the shoe of any camera and was operated via three dials, one for shutter speed and the other for aperture, while a third was built into the aperture dial to control ISO.
  • February 2023 - Hoya has introduced the NX series, its latest air-cooled LED UV curing system for flexo printing, featuring innovative digital features like status indicators, digital AC/DC converter, neuron microchip network system, and data logging. The UVC light meter is also used in the UV curing process, where high-intensity ultraviolet light is used to dry or cure inks, coating, etc. 

  • January 2023 - AdValue Photonics, Inc. announced that it produced a single frequency 308 nm fiber-based, high-power ultraviolet (UV) laser for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center for applications in atmospheric measurements. The 308 nm wavelength, or color of the laser light, is well-established in the medical, industrial, & scientific fields due to the quick absorption and distinct effects associated with this wavelength. It is the first of its kind, all solid-state version, to radiate 3 W average power with a diffraction-limited beam. These features allow reliable, high-performance operation in atmospheric sensing systems, dermatology clinics, and electronics factories worldwide.
  • November 2022 - 3D-Micromac AG, a prominent laser micromachining and roll-to-roll laser systems company for the semiconductor, photovoltaic, glass, and display markets, announced that a significant optical solutions provider purchased multiple microMIRA Laser Lift-Off (LLO) systems from 3D-Micromac for usage in the production of microLED devices. The customer would install the new microMIRA systems in the pilot- and production lines at its advanced LED chip factory in Asia.
