- May 2021: ICL Group released the new Osmocote 5 product, which delivers a super-efficient and effective nutrient release and has been designed and developed to overcome specific nutritional challenges faced by growers using peat-reduced and peat-free growing media. It features unique nutrient matching release technology and an improved Optimised Trace Element Availability (OTEA) system to match plants' needs throughout the release program.
- March 2021: Mosaic announced a partnership with Sound Agriculture to develop and distribute a nutrient efficiency product. Sound Agriculture will focus on manufacturing of the active ingredient and product formulation, while Mosaic will oversee field development, regulatory, sales and marketing efforts. The product leverage Sound Agrculture Bio-inspired chemistry that activates the soil microbiome to give plants access to important nutrients and allow growers to optimize fertilizer inputs.It is expected to release in 2023 for US market.
- February 2021: According to agreement Haifa to invest $2M in AgriIOT against 30% of the company. This agreement will help Haifa to use the AgriIOT technology to identify the defeciencies in the crop in a simple and precise manner for their customers.

May 2021: Rizobacter Argentina SA launched a new specialty fertilizer Microstar Bio, where biologicals are combined with the fertilizers. The product contains bacillus strains incorporated in the micro granules and helps in root growth and nutrient use efficiency.
January 2021: Lallemand Inc. acquired Biotec BetaGlucans AS (BBG), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the ArticZymes Technologies ASA (AZT) company specialized in the development, production, and sales of high purity beta-glucan products, from yeast cell walls.
In January 2022, SABIC Agri-Nutrients Company acquired the ETC Group (ETG), with a 49% stake in the ETG Inputs Holdco Limited, for a transaction value of USD 320 million. The agreement is part of SABIC Agri-Nutrients Company's strategy to integrate the value chain and distribution of agri-nutrients markets.
