  • Nov 2022- Hymer, a German motorhome manufacturer, expanded its use of digital design tools to develop motorhomes, adopting the Siemens Xcelerator software and services portfolio for its VisionVenture concept vehicle.
  • July 2022- Adria, a Slovenian manufacturer of motorhomes, campervans, and caravans, recently unveiled its flagship product, the Adria Supersonic. The motorhome is based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and features an all-new body and a spacious interior inspired by yacht design.
  • Jan 2022- Ford-Werke GmbH and Erwin Hymer Group (EHG) signed a framework agreement to deliver Ford Transit and Ford Transit Custom as the foundation for customer-ready recreational vehicles and motorhomes. The supply agreement includes Ford Transit panel van and skeletal chassis cab models, as well as Ford Transit Custom kombi vans, for conversion into camper vans, semi-integrated motorhomes, and alcove motorhomes by EHG brands.

  • November 2022: Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) announced the importation of several RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid Vehicles (PHEV) to test customer response, vehicle behavior, infrastructure requirements, and other technical aspects, as well as educate customers on plug-in technology.   • August 2022: In Wuhan, Hubei Province, Dongfeng Motor Company Limited (Dongfeng Motor) held a press conference. Dongfeng Motor introduced Mengshi, a luxury off-road EV (electric vehicle) brand, and its exclusive "M" logo at the conference. The Mengshi brand's first model will hit the market in 2023.

  • June 2023: Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is expected to conduct autonomous driving testing using the self-driving all-electric Volkswagen ID. The testing program has already been launched in Texas, United States, at Volkswagen Group of America (VWGoA) alongside European centers. The company's aim is to expand commercially available transport services and the Volkswagen Group's mobility options.

  • February 2022: BYD unveiled a new all-electric Type A school bus in the United States. The battery-powered bus is available in three different lengths 26.7 feet (8.1 meters), 24.5 feet (7.45 meters), and 22.9 feet (7 meters), making it suitable for routes with fewer students. In addition, the BYD Type A is fitted with Predictive Stop Arm, which monitors approaching traffic and notifies students as they exit the bus when it is safe to cross.
