• February 2023: Solenis completed the acquisition of the stock of the Grand Invest Group. Solenis will acquire all Grand Invest Group operating assets, including key strategic production and warehousing facilities, which will expand its Latin American water treatment portfolio.
• September 2022: Solenis acquired Clearon Corp., the facility of which is located in South Charleston. This acquisition enabled Solenis to expand its portfolio of water treatment chemicals products for the residential and commercial pool water and spa treatment markets.
• August 2022: Veolia Environment SA's former United Kingdom-based waste-treatment company will be acquired by French utility Suez SA for about EUR 2.3 billion. Suez is now ready to take back the UK assets, which were also put up for sale after objections from the country's competition authority.

• In June 2022, Kemira Oyj announced a new collaboration with a France-based company, Veolia, to launch a new technology named ViviMag. This technology can recover phosphorus and other valuable resources, such as iron, from sewage sludge. Phosphorus causes the overfertilization of the surface waters if not removed properly, causing a major environmental problem. This new technology will help Kemira OYJ strengthen its position in the water treatment sector.
• In April 2022, Veolia Group announced a partnership with Sydney Water to explore innovation opportunities for the development of a robust circular economy, which will help to deliver sustainable and resilient water services to the city.

• In February 2022, Element Six UK Ltd collaborated with II-VI Inc. Through this collaboration, II-VI licenses Element Six's intellectual property and necessary equipment would produce high-quality single-crystal diamonds to expand its core competency in diamond technology.
• In July 2021, Element Six UK LTD and the University of Warwick entered a partnership to develop the next generation of synthetic diamond-enabled technologies. Under this partnership, Element Six applied its renowned expertise and capabilities in advanced material solutions.

• March 2022: Cabot Corporation sold off its activated carbon unit, Norit Activated Carbon, to One Equity Partners. Following the divestiture, Norit Activated Carbon became an independent company serving its customers with a broad portfolio of activated carbon solutions through its ten production facilities in seven countries.

In June 2023, Saint-Gobain signed an agreement to acquire cement board producer Hume Cemboard Industries. Through this acquisition, the company strengthened its lightweight product offering in Malaysia.

In February 2023, Everest Industries Limited intended to establish a manufacturing unit on a 20-acre site in Chamarajanagar's Badanaguppe Kellambali KIADB layout with an investment of USD 22.5 million. Their new facility is expected to produce 72,000 metric tons (MT) of fiber cement board and 19000 MT of Rapicon wall panels.

• In March 2023, Universal Matter UK Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Universal Matter Inc., announced the acquisition of Applied Graphene Materials UK Limited and Applied Graphene Materials LLC, the principal operating subsidiaries of Applied Graphene Materials PLC. Through the acquisition, the company has strengthened its market presence.
• In February 2023, Global Graphene Group announced that Honeycomb Battery Company, an advanced battery technology subsidiary of Global Graphene Group, Inc., signed a business combination agreement with Nubia Brand International Corp. to develop battery materials. Honeycomb Battery Company is expected to use graphene produced by the Global Graphene Group.

• June 2023: PCBL Limited initiated two growth projects which incorporate the new plant expansion in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and an existing plant project at Mundra, Gujarat. This expansion is divided into two stages, and the first stage of the specialty chemical line is expected to be put into operation by the first quarter of the fiscal year 2023-24. As a result, the overall manufacturing capacity of the company is estimated to reach 790,000 MTPA and 122 MW of renewable energy.
• February 2023: Balkrishna Industries Ltd (BKT) intensified its carbon black production activities and plans to increase capacity by almost 20% this year. The company will expand its Bhuj plant in the eastern Indian state of Gujarat to produce 198 kilotons per year. The Bhuj plant started operations in 2017 and has the capacity to produce 65 ktpa of carbon black grades for tire tread applications.
• In June 2022, ADNOC Distribution entered a new carbon black supply agreement with ADNOC, which will enable ADNOC Distribution to test the market for carbon black.

• July 2022: Sibelco acquired EchasaSA, a mining company that mines silica sand from the Laminoriaquarry near Vitoria in the Basque Country in northern Spain, 160 kilometers from Sibelco's nearest silica sand quarry in Ariya.
• April 2022: Source Energy Services has an agreement with Canadian Silica Industries Inc. and Contractor's Leasing Corp. Through this agreement, the company concluded the operation of its Peace River frac sand facility and increased its frac sand production with additional 400,000 metric tons, which will boost the company's business.

• In January 2023, Technip Energies was awarded a contract for the modernization of sulfur recovery equipment at Aramco's Riyadh Refinery as part of its long-term agreement with Aramco. In order to comply with stricter emission regulations for sulfur dioxide and to improve the performance of the existing three sulfur recovery units SRU, this contract covers the installation of three new tail gas treatment units TGT, with a recovery efficiency of more than 99.9%.
• In April 2023. Valero Energy Corp (VLO.N) initiated the manufacturing on a new coker at its 335,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) Port Arthur, Texas, refinery. The restart of production of the new 55,000bpd coker follows the completion of the overhaul of the 115,000-bpd AVU-147 crude distillation unit. The unit uses hydrogen to remove sulfur from gas oil, gasoline and diesel feedstocks.

• Jun 2023: BASF SE and Yara Clean Ammonia announced their collaboration for a joint study in order to develop and construct a world-scale low-carbon blue ammonia production facility with a total capacity of 1.2 to 1.4 million tons per annum with carbon capture in the US Gulf Coast region. Through this collaboration, the companies will serve the growing global demand for low-carbon ammonia.
• May 2023: SABIC Agri-Nutrients Company and IFFCO announced their collaboration to bring 5,000 metric tons of certified low-carbon ammonia from Saudi Arabia to IFFCO for fertilizer production. This collaboration will enhance the company's business in the studied market.
• Mar 2023: CF Industries Holdings Inc. signed a definitive purchase agreement for the purchase of the Waggaman ammonia production facility from Incitec Pivot Limited, which has an annual capacity of 880,000 tons annually. Under this agreement, CF Industries will be able to provide 200,000 tons of ammonia annually for up to 25 years to its Dyno Nobel subsidiary.
• Oct 2022: Nutrien Ltd planned a new 'Clean Ammonia' plant and selected thyssenkrupp Uhde as its technology provider and partner. The new plant will have a capacity of 3,500 metric tons/day and be built at Nutrien's Geismar, Louisiana, US facility. The construction of the plant is anticipated to start by the end of 2023.
