- March 2022: Peet's Coffee launched a vegan and dairy-free coffee bar as part of its Spring Coffeebar collection. Among the new coffee and espresso drinks are familiar flavors that have been specifically designed to highlight the flavor of oat and almond milk.
- August 2021: Burda's subsidiary, The Enabling Company, and coffee manufacturer Melitta took over the majority shares of the coffee start-up Roastmarket. Melitta is now the Frankfurt-based company's largest shareholder, with a 72% stake.
- February 2021: Werthmann Verkaufsautomaten GmbH, based in Kempten, Allgäu, was acquired by Alois Dallmayr Automaten-Service GmbH. Consequently, Alois Dallmayr KG's Munich subsidiary is expanding its presence in the south of the country.

- January 2023: Starbucks Corporation further expanded its presence in Vietnam by inaugurating its 100th store in the country. The newly established stores are situated in Binh Duong and Quy Nhon provinces, adding a total of 13 new locations to Vietnam.
- October 2022: Nestle Group's leading coffee brand, Nescafé, unveiled plans to invest over USD 1.02 billion by 2030 to support coffee farmers in transitioning to regenerative farming methods and adapting to the climate crisis. This initiative will primarily target Nescafé's coffee suppliers in key regions, including Vietnam, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Ivory Coast, Indonesia, and Honduras, where 90% of the coffee Nescafé sources is cultivated.
- August 2022: Masan Group completed the acquisition of an 84% stake in Phuc Long Coffee & Tea in a deal valued at USD 453 million. This purchase marked the second phase of their investment, following the acquisition of a majority stake six months earlier for USD 110 million, with the additional 34% stake acquired for USD 154 million.
- July 2022: In Vietnam, Nestlé and Starbucks introduced the 'Starbucks At Home' coffee experience, featuring four of Starbucks' signature instant coffee flavors, including dark roast, caramel latte, caffè mocha, and caffè latte. They also launched the 'We Proudly Serve Starbucks Coffee Program,' providing premium coffee solutions to selected channels.
- March 2022: Compañia Tequilera de Arandas S.A. de C.V.'s Lobos 1707, the ultra-premium tequila and mezcal brand, announced its launch into the Canadian market. Lobos 1707 commemorated its expansion with an official launch event in Toronto.
- January 2022: Diageo PLC acquired the premium artisanal mezcal brand Mezcal Unión by acquiring Casa UM. Mezcal Union is one of the leading brands of mezcal production. The company used this acquisition to expand its business of mezcal drinks.
- October 2021: IZO Spirits announced a new limited edition Mezcal Añejo Cenizo that will be available in October. The product was released as a limited edition, with just 749 bottles available, and is crafted from wild agave grown on the high-altitude mesas of Durango, Mexico.
- April 2023: Nestle, the Swiss food and beverage industry leader, unveiled Nescafe Ice Roast instant coffee in China, catering to the growing demand for "cafe-style cold coffee experiences" in the comfort of one's home.
- September 2022: Luckin Coffee, a prominent Chinese beverage chain, initiated an entrepreneurial endeavor by introducing a new coffee brand called "Cotti Coffee."
- January 2022: Ethiopian Coffee Brands made their debut on China's largest e-commerce Platform. This strategic move aims to harness the infrastructure offered by the electronic World Trade Platform (e-WTP) to create a conducive environment for promoting e-commerce and tourism among African entrepreneurs, all while bringing high-quality African products into the Chinese market.
- In May 2022, PerfectTed introduced a line of health drinks made of matcha green tea-based natural energy beverages to combat fatigue. The challenger brand's goal was to transform caffeine usage into something healthier by utilizing a matcha ingredient that has been used for over 800 years.
- In May 2021, Gist, a prebiotic effervescent beverage made from five botanical components that have received organic certification, was launched to compete with other health drinks. The gist is reinventing was claimed to be a clean beverage as it was made using plants rather than extracts.
- In May 2021, PepsiCo, the leading-edge food and beverage company, just launched its latest innovation, Soulboost, a sparkling water beverage with a splash of real juice and functional ingredients. Soulboost captures the fun of a fruity drink through a light, guilt-free sparkling water refreshment.
- March 2022: The global beverage and snack conglomerate PepsiCo collaborated with WaterAid in a bid to provide clean water to the masses of Pakistan. The company claimed that it is working to improve access to clean water for underserved urban communities in Pakistan.
- December 2021: Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited (CCI Pakistan) established a state-of-the-art water filtration plant for the people of Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as part of its PAANI CSR project (KP). The plant is near CCI Pakistan's seventh production facility, now under development in Haripur.
- March 2022: Heineken launched Heineken Silver, a premium lager aimed at Gen Y and Z drinkers in the United Kingdom and European Union. The new lager (4% ABV) is available in 4x330ml bottles, 12x330ml bottles, and 6x330ml slim-line cans. The range offers a premium and modern packaging design.
- February 2022: The United Kingdom division of Anheuser-Busch InBev launched Stella Artois Unfiltered lager beer in the country. Standard Stella Artois has a 4.6% abv available in six- and 12-packs of 33cl cans and 66cl individual cans.
- March 2021: Heineken launched Pure Piraña hard seltzer in Europe following a successful trial in Mexico and New Zealand. The hard seltzer is initially available in Austria, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain.
- August 2022: Kosme Group has launched Jiwater in Indonesia. Jiwater is natural artesian water that has undergone Japanese technological processing. The pH range of the new mineral water is between 7.5 and 8.
- January 2022: Indonesia's biggest bottled water producer, Danone-AQUA, launched AQUA LIFE, where they produced PET bottles made of 100% recycled material, delivering nourishing elements of water and beverages while conserving nature and the country's resources.
- June 2021: Nestlé Waters announced it would expand its efforts to manage water responsibly and collaborate more closely with its partners to find and promote regional solutions. Nestlé Waters aims to have a positive impact by revitalizing the regional water cycle. By implementing more than 100 projects across 48 of its locations by 2025, Nestlé will use its expertise to encourage the regeneration of the water cycle.
- September 2022: JDE Peet's, a company based in the Netherlands, announced its plans to pay an unknown sum to buy the French tea company Les 2 Marmottes. This would increase the company's range of tea brands, according to a statement from JAB Holding. Additionally, JDE Peet's had guaranteed that the Haute-Savoie-based business would maintain its independence and 90 employees.
- November 2021: Unilever revealed its plans about CVC Capital Partners Fund VIII reaching an agreement for the sale of ekaterra, a worldwide tea company, in a debt-free and cash-free transaction.
- March 2021: Ahmad Tea and Caffè Corsini announced their partnership. The Hampshire-based English tea company Ahmad Tea, which sells some of the classic varieties of tea and infusions, announced Caffe Corsini as a new official distributor in Italy.
- In January 2022, Starbucks inaugurated its first drive-thru in Italy in Erbusco, Lombardy, as part of a new collaboration between Percassi, Starbucks' sole licensee partner in Italy, and the Q8 service station company.
- In June 2021, Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (HBC) increased its presence in the international coffee market by acquiring a 30% stake in the upscale Italian retailer Casa Del Caffè Vergnano.
- In March 2021, Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group, a key player in the coffee industry, announced the launch of Segafredo Storia, a new sustainable coffee series. The newly launched coffee made global traceability and transparency possible by utilizing blockchain technology.
