In February 2022, Berlin based construction technology company Flexcavo increases its capital by USD 8 million for its construction machinery fleet. In addition, planned capital will initially go for procuring newly constructed rental park in Maisach, Munich. Furthermore, with over 150 new construction machinery and equipment has already been planned by manufacturers JCB and Wacker Neuson for approximately 4,500 square metre site.

In january 2022, CanLift Equipment Ltd. has expanded its product line for construction machinery equpement under a stratgeic partnership with leading construction manufacturer Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co., Ltd to elevate the sales right of earthmoving equipement in Ontario. Further, this partnership shall open avenues for new relationships within the construction machinery industry.

In january 2022, Japan's largest construction machinery company Hitachi announced that it is seeling its 50% stakes of construction machinery fleet worth US$ 1.6 billion. In addition, Itochu will buy Hitachi's stake for 3,300 yen a share with Japan Industrial Partners. Furthermore, Hitachi currently owns a 51.5% stake in the construction machinery fleet.

In March 2021, Hitachi introduced the ZW220-7, Stage V-compliant wheel loader. With an operating weight of 18,190-19,450kg and a net power of 157kW (210hp), the ZW220-7 has a heaped bucket capacity (ISO) of 2.8-10.0 cubic meters.

In February 2021, Manitex Vall launched the all-new V 110 R Electric Mobile Crane. It is battery-operated and remote-controlled, with a capacity of up to 11,000 kg and a lifting height of up to 10.4 meters.

In January 2021, Caterpillar launched three new large excavators for the European, Asian, and African markets, with two ultra high definition demolition (UHD) machines. The large excavators are the Cat 352, 374, and 395, weighing in at 50 metric ton, 72 metric ton, and 94 metric ton, respectively.

  • In September 2021, Hanon Systems announced the two site inaugurations in Hungary - a new greenfield production facility in Pécs and a building expansion in Rétság. Located in Baranya County, the new plant in Pécs increases production capacity for fluid transport products. The facility provides 22,464 square meters of manufacturing space and accommodates equipment, including forming, brazing, welding and bending, assembly lines, and testing for automotive air conditioning (A/C) lines. The building is equipped with modern machinery for horizontal die casting.

  • In July 2023, Basso Volta, an Italian e-bike manufacturer, announced a light Italian e-bike with a carbon frame and an advanced display. The bike weighs merely 15.2 kg. Volta's performance is equally impressive, housing a powerful 500 Wh battery discreetly integrated into the downtube and providing a claimed range of 200 km (125 miles) on a single charge. The heart of this Italian e-bike is the Polini EP3+ motor, which delivers an impressive 75 Nm of torque and 250 W of assistance.
  • In June 2023, Bosch announced its new Performance Line SX motor, with a claimed output of 600W peak power and 55Nm of torque. The Performance Line SX is the first lightweight motor from the German brand, with a claimed weight of 2kg.

  • November 2022: According to BYD's official Weibo account, BYD's new luxury car brand is called "Yangwang." It will have a new and independent team for branding, products, sales and services network, and operation, with products expected to be officially launched in Q1 2023.
  • August 2022: Infiniti announced the official launch of the QX55, an all-new luxury SUV, in China at the 2022 Chengdu Motor Show. It will be sold as an imported model in the country. It is available in four variants (one FWD and three AWD), with prices ranging from CNY 389,800 (USD 55,987.36) to CNY 475,300 (USD 68,267.81).
  • August 2022: In Wuhan, Hubei Province, Dongfeng Motor Company Limited (Dongfeng Motor) held a press conference. Dongfeng Motor introduced Mengshi, a luxury off-road EV (electric vehicle) brand, and its exclusive "M" logo at the conference. The Mengshi brand's first model will hit the market in 2023.
  • June 2023: Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is expected to conduct autonomous driving testing using the self-driving all-electric Volkswagen ID. The testing program has already been launched in Texas, United States, at Volkswagen Group of America (VWGoA) alongside European centers. The company's aim is to expand commercially available transport services and the Volkswagen Group's mobility options.
  • December 2022: Mercedes-Benz announced that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by Mercedes-Benz Vans with the Polish government and other partners to build a new van production plant at the Jaworlocation. The first entirely electric facility will be Mercedes-Benz vans.
  • December 2022: Mercedes-Benz and Rivian signed an MOU for a strategic partnership and joint production of electric vans. Starting in a few years, the companies intend to establish a new joint venture manufacturing company with the goal of investing in and operating an existing Mercedes-Benz site in Central/Eastern Europe to produce large electric vans for both Mercedes-Benz Vans and Rivian.
  • October 2022: GMC unveiled the first-ever Sierra EV pickup truck as part of its all-electric truck lineup. The electric truck line, led by the 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1, offers 400 miles of range on a full charge and unique features made possible only by its dedicated EV truck platform.
  • January 2023: Dana Cardenas opened a new USD 21 million plant in Querétaro, Mexico, with a production line that will make Toyota components. The first production line, which already began with 110 employees, will be joined by two more lines later in 2023 for a total annual production of 545,000 units with 300 employees. Alejandro Sánchez Alvarado, Operations Director at Dana Cardanes, explained that three production lines are being installed in the new 917-square-meter facility, where cardan shafts (drive shafts) will be manufactured for use in Toyota trucks.
  • December 2022: JTEKT Corporation (JTEKT) announced the adoption of their "low-vibration drive shaft" for Toyota Motor Corporation's Lexus RX front-wheel drive. The low-vibration drive shaft uses an "opposite groove construction," in which 6 balls are incorporated in the ball joint on the tire side, and the pushing loads of the opposing three balls cancel each other out, reducing internal friction by half. This lowers engine vibration transmission to the vehicle body and enhances fuel economy.
  • October 2022: JTEKT and its group firm Koyo sealing techno developed JTEKT Ultra Small Seal as a compact diff. Side oil seal for BEV eAxle in response to the rapid growth of the battery electric vehicle (BEV) industry. A differential side seal is an oil seal affixed to the connection between the differential and the drive shaft that prevents oil leakage from the inside and pollution from the outside.
  • May 2022: The Indonesian division of used automotive marketplace Carsome signed a collaboration agreement with Indonesian Bank Jago Tbk for automotive financing to support Carsome Indonesia's business, which focuses on buying and selling used cars online.
