  • In September 2022, McDonald's China opened a drive-through restaurant McDonald's Shougang Park in Beijing spanning nearly 650 sqm. As per the company's claim, it is the first leed-certified zero-carbon restaurant in the country that is designed and constructed per the Leed net-zero carbon and net-zero energy certification standards.
  • In December 2021, Restaurants Brands International, Inc. announced a regional partnership with Ant Group to accelerate the digital transformation of its restaurant operations across Asia-Pacific.
  • In October 2021, McDonald's announced its plan to test its first-ever plant-based burger, the McPlant, which it created with Beyond Meat Inc. in a strategic three-year partnership in China.

  • April 2024: Uber Eats partnered with Waymo to provide autonomous rides in Phoenix. Uber Eats also launched deliveries via Waymo self-driving vehicles. Additionally, Uber and Waymo are working with select merchants in the area, including local favorites like Princess Pita, Filiberto’s, and Bosa Donuts.

  • January 2024: Mars China announced another significant step toward sustainable packaging with the launch of its SNICKERS bar with dark chocolate cereal. The new product not only offers a low-sugar and low-glycemic index (GI) option for consumers but also features individual packaging made from a mono-PP material, meaning it can be more easily recycled in designated channels.
  • December 2023: Lindt launched a new flavor of its famous Lindor chocolates for Christmas—Lindor Irish Cream, which contains Irish Cream liqueur and has a creamy flavor. The chocolate brand also launched new Lindor Festive Edition Milk and Assorted boxes and a newly designed Lindor Sharing tin.

  • November 2023: ROYCE’ Chocolate inaugurated its retail store in Oregon, located at Washington Square Mall. The company aims to feature its Nama Chocolate there.
  • March 2024: Gold Standard Diagnostics launched the first product of the new allergen PowerLine tests: the SENSIStrip Gluten PowerLine Lateral Flow Device. The product comprises a sensitive detection system based on a monoclonal antibody and can detect gluten residues in food matrices, rinse water, and swabs.

  • June 2023: Le Macaron French Pastries® Continues Nationwide Expansion with Ten New Locations in Tucson, Gaithersburg, New York, Columbus, Tarpon Springs, FL, Pembroke Pines, FL, and three California stores in Long Beach, Sacramento, and New Port Beach. In addition, the company reported a third Le Macaron café is slated to open in Nashville.

  • September 2023: General Mills India, a division of Minneapolis-based General Mills Inc., started a new USD 12 million baking plant in Nashik, Maharashtra. According to General Mills, the facility was intended to serve as the epicenter for manufacturing the company’s Pillsbury baking mixes for the Indian market.
  • August 2023: General Mills invested about USD 48 million in the Joplin production facility. The product facility to expand its production capacity of frozen dough. The products are to be retailed under the brand Pillsbury.
  • June 2023: Yoplait launched two new snacks, Yoplait Original with Chocolate Shavings and Go-Gurt Freeze & Reveal tubes. General Mills, the manufacturer of Yoplait products, shared that its latest yogurt cups drew inspiration from treats such as chocolate-covered strawberries and cordial cherries. The company added real chocolate shavings to strawberry, cherry, and raspberry yogurt flavors for the launch.
  • October 2023: Meat snack brand, Country Archer Provisions, launched two new meat snack products including Rosemary Turkey Mini Sticks and Original Beef Jerky Snack Packs. As per the company, the portioned protein snacks offer clean-label ingredients for health-conscious consumers. Furthermore, the company claims that the Rosemary Turkey Mini Sticks are fortified with herbs and spices like rosemary, basil, thyme, garlic, and onion, and the original Beef Jerky Snack Packs are made from grass-fed beef combined with spices like garlic and onion powder.
  • September 2023: A United States-based company Volpi Foods expanded its presence in the meat snacks category with a new line of Salami Stix. The company claims the products to be high-quality, all-natural with the best ingredients. Furthermore, the company asserts the products are available in 2-oz packages, in two flavors, Spicy and Original.
  • April 2023: Doki Foods, a New Delhi-based startup launched chicken chips and buffalo jerky in the country. As per the company, the products are available in flavors like Korean Gochujang, Tokyo Teriyaki, and Telicherry pepper.
  • March 2021: Nomad Foods announced that it had entered into an agreement to acquire Fortenova Group's Frozen Food Business Group (FFBG). FFBG is a European frozen food company that operates in Herzegovina, Hungary, Slovenia, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Montenegro, Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. FFBG has two anchor brands Ledo and Frikom which offer frozen foods, such as ready meals, fish, fruits, vegetables, pastry, and ice cream.
  • January 2021: Beginning in January 2021, all Mamma burgers, sandwiches, and wraps had new labels. The company harmonized the appearance of products. It also introduced innovative paper-film packaging for some products, with the help of which it reduces the share of plastic in the packaging material by about 20%.

  • In May 2022, Aspall Cyder, a Molson Coors-owned apple cider brand, invested USD 16 million in upgrading its 300-year-old factory in the United Kingdom. The investment has increased production by about 60% to approximately 70 million pints of cider each year.
  • In January 2022, Swander Pace Capital LLC's Bragg Live Food Products Inc. launched a new Bragg True Energy Apple Cider Vinegar supplement. The supplement contains apple cider vinegar in addition to six essential B vitamins to help with energy at the cellular level. Bragg True Energy has 750 mg of acetic acid per dose, comparable to one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.
