The closure devices segment is expected to register high growth, as they are widely used in minimally invasive surgeries that require immediate closure of very small incisions made at the time of surgical procedures.
According to the Health Ministry survey, in Brazil, the obesity rate went from 11.8% to 19.8% between 2006 and 2018. Furthermore, As per the survey between 2008-2018, there was an increase in obesity in two age groups such as 25 to 35-year-olds and 35 to 44-year-olds. For these groups, the rate went up 84.2% and 81.1% respectively, compared to 67.8% in the general population.
