• September 2022: Aptiv Plc signed a definitive agreement to acquire Intercable Automotive Solutions from Intercable Srl for EUR 595 million (USD 600.95 million). Aptiv Plc was to own an 85% stake in Intercable Automotive Solutions post-acquisition. The acquisition will help Aptiv Plc cement its position in the automotive busbars and interconnect solutions segments.
• September 2022: Motherson Sumi Ltd. inaugurated its third manufacturing facility for automotive harness products in Serbia at Požarevac. The plant was to manufacture products exclusively for Daimler Trucks SE and create 1,000 jobs at the site.
• July 2022: Sumitomo Wiring Systems Ltd. inaugurated a new manufacturing facility for automobile wiring harness products at Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone in Cambodia.
• May 2022: Leoni AG signed an agreement to sell its automotive cables business to Bangkok-based Stark Corporation Public Company Limited for an undisclosed amount. The businesses generated USD 1.31 billion in revenues for Leoni AG in 2021.

• January 2023: Brakes India introduced an e-booster for vacuum-free brake actuation for electric vehicles. Through this launch, the company expanded its product portfolio for electric vehicle applications.
• October 2022: Continental AG worked on the world's first vacuumless brake system one-box design, which increases the efficiency of the braking process while offering a compact design.
• May 2022: Tata Motors introduced a Vacuumless braking system in Nexon electric vehicles. The Nexon EV Max featured a unique intelligent vacuum-less brake-active control or iVBAC device that blends regenerative and normal braking to achieve an optimal pedal feel.

• September 2023: Nidec Corporation announced an investment of USD USD 55 million to enhance its manufacturing facilities in India. Through this expansion, the company will expand its motion and energy business across the country.
• August 2022: ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India announced the expansion of manufacturing capacity in India. The new manufacturing facility was set up to improve productivity across plants by capitalizing on lean and frugal engineering capabilities.
• July 2022: Vitesco Technologies AG inaugurated their new manufacturing plant at Talegaon in Pune, India. The company invested about USD 34.94 million in infrastructure, buildings, and plants. Through this investment, the company expanded its product portfolio, including actuators across the country.

• March 2023: Aisin Corporation announced that its panoramic sunroof was adopted in the EQS SUV and the EQE SUV, the flagship models of Mercedes-Benz's battery electric vehicle (BEV) brand, Mercedes-EQ.
• June 2022: Yachiyo Industry Co., Ltd. announced the development of sunroofs for electrified vehicles and those that satisfy local needs. Compared with existing products, the company was to develop a thin glass-top roll sunshade module for electrified vehicles that was 60% or thinner than existing products.

• September 2022: FORVIA revealed its ongoing efforts in developing technologies and manufacturing Exhaust Compact Systems. These systems are designed to enhance the thermal efficiency of engines, resulting in reduced fuel consumption and contributing to emissions reduction.
• May 2022: Purem by Eberspaecher unveiled its advanced exhaust technology designed for hydrogen engines featuring the H2-ICE exhaust system. It was showcased for the first time at the Hannover Messe.

• February 2023: RUSAL started using end-of-life aluminum scrap in the production of foundry alloys for the automotive industry. This production enables RUSAL to achieve a nearly 20% reduction in the full-scope carbon footprint of the resulting new product.
• September 2022: Maxion Wheel invested USD 150 million in Germany. Through this investment, the company expanded its commercial vehicle wheel portfolio across Europe.
• January 2021: Citic Dicastal, specializing in aluminum casting and manufacturing aluminum automotive parts, set up the second production plant for aluminum rims with a budget of EUR 350 million (USD 409 million) in Kenitra, Morocco.

• May 2023: South Korea called for stricter safety standards regarding electric vehicle (EV) fires following recent incidents. The South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy stated that it will enhance safety standards for EV batteries and charging facilities, conduct risk assessments, and improve response measures. These actions aim to ensure the safety of EVs and boost consumer confidence in the technology.
• April 2023: South Korea announced a USD 15 billion investment in advanced battery technologies to bolster its position in the global electric vehicle (EV) battery market. The country aims to develop next-generation batteries with higher energy density and faster charging capabilities. The investment will support research and development, as well as the construction of battery production facilities. This move reflects South Korea's commitment to maintaining its leadership in the EV industry and fostering technological advancements in battery technology.

• April 2023: Skoda announced the ongoing development of an advanced technology that will involve its car grille, which forms a part of the automotive fascia, to give out safety signals to pedestrians, including green arrows and green figures.
• February 2023: BMW filed a patent for its iconic kidney grille used in its vehicle models with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The company is strategizing to incorporate a single light-emitting panel that can be turned on and off to hide certain elements in its signature kidney grille system.
• January 2023: Plasman, a Canadian automotive fascia manufacturer, announced the successful delivery of its spoiler and front grille product, under its fascia business segment, to Honda for the newly launched CR-V model.
• November 2022: MG India initiated the process of testing its upcoming SUV model, the MG Hector facelift, with an improved design of its diamond grille covering in its front fascia. The model also incorporates dual barrel headlights and fog lights in the lower part of the front fascia, with DRLs in a similar position.

• December, 2022: Continental AG (Continental) announced that it will show-off modules and sensors created exclusively for electromobility. Continental will debut its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) which has been integrated into the "CV3" SoC (System on Chip) family with artificial intelligence (AI) from semiconductor startup Ambarella.
• November, 2022: Infineon Technologies AG announced the addition of the latest XENSIV TLE4971 family to its current sensor series for automotive applications. Infineon's XENSIV TLE4971 devices offer precise magnetic current sensing based on proprietary temperature and stress compensation without the harmful effects of magnetic cores caused by hysteresis or saturation effects.
• March, 2022: CTS Corporation announced the acquisition of TEWA Temperature Sensors SP. Zo.o. and its subsidiaries. The company is a strong complement to CTS's temperature sensing platform and will expand CTS's presence in Europe.

• April 2022: TouchNetix announced fully integrated aXiom touchscreen chips that offer new 3D sensing capabilities by detecting air gestures allowing touchless functions in automotive, industrial, and consumer environments, among others. aXiom provides more than 100 times higher Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) than the traditional touchscreen controllers on the market.
• May 2022: Nippon Seiki Co., Ltd. announced on May 9 that it had started production of head-up displays (HUDs) at its new plant in Poland. The plant will first manufacture HUDs for the BMW Group. Vehicles are increasingly equipped with HUDs in Europe, the United States, and China, and the HUD market is rapidly expanding. Nippon Seiki established the new plant to deal with the increasing demand for HUDs from European automakers.
• May 2022: Faurecia announced introducing its newest perceptual image processing and immersive user experience solutions to the market during SID Display Week in California. Faurecia will also present MyDisplay, a platform solution that creates a personalized, enhanced visual experience. MyDisplay incorporates physiological algorithms that mimic how our eyes work to enhance the screen's 3D, color, and brightness in one seamless process.
• June 2021: Visteon Company announced a new business win with a North American OEM for its microZone™ display technology. The award is for a multi-display system that will be featured in multiple premium and performance vehicles expected to launch in 2024.
