  • May 2023: Pos Malaysia Bhd opened its first convenience store, Pos Shop, along with Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, as part of its strategic transformation journey. The group, which operated 541 post offices and over 200 more Pos Laju and mini branches as of 2022, said in a statement that the convenience store is “leveraging on its unrivaled reach and retail footprint.
  • January 2023: City-Link Express has been chosen as the official delivery agent by the e-commerce platform Shoppymore. Shoppymore is a Malaysian-owned platform that was launched in 2021 with the aim to focus on online selling our Malaysian-made products ranging from cosmetics, apparel, and gadgets. Not only that, but since Malaysia is famous for its diverse and culture-rich food, exportable delicacies and packed drinks such as Serunding, Pisang salai, and coconut drinks are also found sold on the website.

  • January 2022- Kerry Express partnered with Grab Thailand to introduce two new pick-up services during Valentine's season in February. The instant pick-up service allows items to be collected within 30 minutes, while the express pick-up service enables customers to schedule a parcel collection every hour. These new services, available on the Kerry Express app, were set to pilot in the Greater Bangkok area.
  • June 2023: Honor Foods, the Burris Logistics food service redistribution company, purchased Sunny Morning Foods, a food service redistributor with dairy expertise located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Sunny Morning Foods strengthens the company’s portfolio and broadens its position as a preferred food service redistributor in the Mid-Atlantic, New England, and now Southeast regions. 
  • May 2023: Americold Logistics, a global leader in temperature-controlled warehouses and logistics for the food industry, announced the grand opening of its facility expansion in Santa Perpetua, Barcelona, Spain. The expansion adds 11 loading bays and 12,000 pallet positions, bringing greater capacity for temperature-controlled products and services to customers in the region.
  • May 2023: Americold Logistics, the world’s largest publicly traded REIT focused on the ownership, operation, acquisition, and development of temperature-controlled warehouses, announced a strategic investment into RSA Cold Chain in Dubai. At close, Americold’s investment is USD 3.9 million for the company’s share (49%) of RSA Cold Chain equity.

June 2023: Albert Heijn, often abbreviated to AH and informally to Appie, is the largest supermarket chain in the Netherlands. Albert Heijn stopped flying in unprocessed fruit and vegetables. From 1 June 2023, fruit and vegetables, such as sugar snaps, haricots verts and passion fruit, are only transported via sea container or road transport.

July 2023: Netherlands-based ZHD Stevedores ordered the first all-electric transshipment crane CBG 500 E from Liebherr. The crane, which was recently launched on the market, has a lifting capacity of up to 105 tonnes in hook operation and a maximum grab capability of up to 90 tonnes. The crane will be used for bulk handling in the area of Rotterdam and the ZHD terminals in Dordrecht and Moerdijk.

  • Aug 2023: Listed logistics giant Delhivery launched a new digital shipping platform, Delhivery One, to offer logistics support to small and medium enterprises, along with D2C brands, across the country. Delhivery said Delhivery One integrates shipping services such as post-purchase communication, analytics, international shipping, one-click integration with sales channels, NDR management, and more. The new platform allows smaller businesses to ship without a minimum order value and with a minimum wallet recharge of INR 500. It also offers discounted shipping rates on heavier parcels above 5 kg.
  • Jul 2023: Ekart launched B2B air and surface transportation solutions for businesses in India. The Flip Kart-owned supply chain network can now move goods throughout India for brands, manufacturers, and retailers, using 21 airports and a fleet of over 7,000 trucks. With this new offering, Ekart can meet companies’ end-to-end logistical requirements with a first-mile, mid-mile, and last-mile fleet and an air express option. The new offering joins Ekart’s existing lineup of supply chain and inventory management solutions that include fulfillment and sortation centers and delivery hubs.
  • Sept 2023: Rhenus continues its growth trajectory with the strategic acquisition of the Hungarian freight forwarder ITS Logistics Hungary KFT. This move will enable them to better serve their customer's needs, particularly in relation to air freight services, while also expanding their reach in the Hungarian market.
  • Sept 2023: The Rhenus Group is acquiring BLU Logistics, a leading LATAM freight forwarder present in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, and Uruguay, as well as in Mainland China and Hong Kong with more than 180,000 TEUs of ocean freight volume. This strategic action aims to bolster Rhenus' presence in LATAM to accelerate further growth in global trade and enhance its Asia-LATAM trade lane, nearshoring capabilities, and service options in light of the industry trend to diversify sourcing and supply chains.

  • October 2022: The CMA CGM Group, a leading worldwide shipping Group, is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of Containerships, a container transportation and logistics company.
