The country accounts for 50% of the global soybean market, and it became the second-largest corn exporter in 2021. Further, the country has also become the consolidated leader in coffee and sugar production. In terms of food crops, Brazil is the largest soybean producer and exporter as it took first place, with a record production of 126 million metric ton. It exported 84 million metric ton in 2020, and now it accounts for 50% of the global soybean trade.
