  • May 2022: Resource REIT Inc. completed the sale of all of its outstanding shares of common stock to Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust Inc. for USD 14.75 per share in an all-cash deal valued at USD 3.7 billion, including the assumption of the REIT's debt.
  • February 2022: The largest owner of commercial real estate in the world and private equity company Blackstone is growing its portfolio of residential rentals and commercial properties in the United States. The company revealed that it would shell out about USD 6 billion to buy Preferred Apartment Communities, an Atlanta-based real estate investment trust that owns 44 multifamily communities and roughly 12,000 homes in the Southeast, mostly in Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, North Carolina, and the Florida cities of Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa.

  • November 2022: The Newmark-owned firm Knotel secured a long-term lease for 23,700 square feet at Ofizzina, a Coral Gables, Florida, office condo project. Knotel intends to finish three complete stories of the 16-story skyscraper at 1200 Ponce De Leon Boulevard. TSG Group and BF Group created Offizina, which comprises 60 office condominiums.
  • June 2022: IWG, a Swiss coworking pioneer, intends to add up to 700 more flexible-office sites to its US portfolio, which now comprises offices in 300 cities, mainly under the Regus and Spaces brands. In the next 12 months, IWG plans to open 500 to 700 additional offices in the United States.

April 2023: The principals of Mishawaka-based Cressy Commercial Real Estate are pleased to announce the completion of a merger with Mno-Bmadsen, the nongaming investment arm of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi. The merger will enable Cressy to expand into new markets and implement their strategic goals while continuing to provide world-class service to past and future clients. Mno-Bmadsen will benefit from additional resources to manage the real estate needs of its growing portfolio of investments.

February 2023: Mirabaud Asset Management has structured the acquisition of a two-building office occupied by a non-profit academic foundation and medical center. The transaction was structured by Mirabaud Asset Management as a Luxembourg-based institutional commercial real estate partnership on behalf of its international clientele. This acquisition brings the value of Mirabaud's US real estate portfolio to almost $600 million.

  • June 2022: United Development Company (UDC), the master developer of The Pearl and Gewan Islands, and Corinthia Group, a first-class hospitality management company that will operate Corinthia Yacht Club at The Pearl Island and Corinthia Hotel at Gewan Island, signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Monaco Marina Management (M3) and the Yacht Club de Monaco to develop yachting at The Pearl Island and potentially Qatar.
  • February 2022: Ezdan Real Estate Company, the primary real estate developer, unveiled an integrated multi-tiered plan for the comprehensive development of approximately 17 villages and compounds in 2022, including residential villages in Al Wakra and Al Wukair and residential buildings in Doha, entailing construction works, as part of its strategy to continuously improve and develop its services.

  • April 2023: Global real estate professional services firm JLL and iO Partners announce that JLL will transfer its existing Leasing, Capital Markets, Valuation Advisory, Consulting, and Project Management delivery businesses to iO Partners in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia. The two companies have formed a preferred partnership enabling them to service clients in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. The agreement will give iO Partners a strong presence in these four countries with experienced employees, efficient systems and processes, and a strong ongoing partnership with JLL.

  • January 2022: Instone Real Estate, one of the leading residential developers in Germany, continued its successful cooperation with LEG with the sale of around 330 apartments. The transaction includes 96 privately financed rental apartments on the west side site in Bonn-Endenich. In addition, a further 236 rental apartments in the Literature Quarter in Essen - 52 of which are publicly funded and 184 privately financed - are part of the apartment package that LEG Solution acquired as part of a forward deal for the existing LEG companies.

  • February 2022: Dar Al-Arkan, a Saudi real estate corporation, announced the creation of an office in Beijing, China. The move is in accordance with Dar Al-strategic Arkan's expansion ambitions and builds on the company's global brand development efforts. The company's Beijing office is expected to serve a variety of tasks, including establishing joint ventures between Dar Al-Arkan and renowned Chinese real estate developers for both the Chinese and Saudi markets, as well as enhancing investment and knowledge-sharing opportunities between the two countries.   • February 2022: China Evergrande Group announced that it sold stakes and "right to debt" in four developments to two state-owned trust firms for CNY 2.13 billion (USD 0.35 billion), in a move to ensure their construction goes ahead as well as delivery of its other projects. The world's most indebted property developer is struggling to complete projects and homes - deemed a priority by China's policymakers to ensure social stability - while weighed down by its more than USD 300 billion in liabilities. Evergrande sold its stake and right to debt in a residential development in Chongqing and Dongguan to Everbright Trust for CNY 1.03 billion (USD 0.19 billion), as well as those in a housing project in Foshan and a theme park development in Guangzhou to Minmetals Trust for CNY 1.1 billion (USD 0.16 billion).
