  • August 2022: Under the Wrights brand, food manufacturing specialists Wright Food Group introduced the latest line of core ready meals and vegan savory pastries. In addition to the brand's current vegan offering and expanded savory range, the vegan line includes a vegan pastry.
  • August 2021: Rubicon Bakers, a portfolio company of Trive Capital, acquired Just Desserts, a handmade desserts brand in California. Just Desserts produces a wide range of premium desserts and pastries, traditionally handcrafted to its recipes. The strategic acquisition will help Rubicon Brands expand its products' reach in the specialty and mainstream grocery market.
  • August 2021: Europastry brands with Verdeo, a company dedicated to creating new ways to use olive oil in food products, launched a range of pastries, Olive. The new range, including croissants, donuts, and muffins, is made with 100% olive oil instead of butter and palm oil.
  • March 2021: Singapore bakery chain Joe & Dough and 'free-from' food specialist Oh My Goodness teamed up to offer varieties of gluten-free pastries across the country.

  • October 2023: Meat snack brand, Country Archer Provisions, launched two new meat snack products including Rosemary Turkey Mini Sticks and Original Beef Jerky Snack Packs. As per the company, the portioned protein snacks offer clean-label ingredients for health-conscious consumers.   • April 2023: Doki Foods, a New Delhi-based startup launched chicken chips and buffalo jerky in the country. As per the company, the products are available in flavors like Korean Gochujang, Tokyo Teriyaki, and Telicherry pepper.
  • March 2021: Nomad Foods announced that it had entered into an agreement to acquire Fortenova Group's Frozen Food Business Group (FFBG). FFBG is a European frozen food company that operates in Herzegovina, Hungary, Slovenia, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Montenegro, Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. FFBG has two anchor brands Ledo and Frikom which offer frozen foods, such as ready meals, fish, fruits, vegetables, pastry, and ice cream.
